Bone and Soft Tissue Pathologist

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA (USA). Regional pathology group in the Carolinas seeks a full time, board-certified pathologist to join a group of 25 pathologists.
Primary diagnostic responsibilities will include signing out biopsies and resections of pediatric and adult bone and soft tissue lesions in a high volume, high complexity setting. This individual must be able to function as an active member of a multidisciplinary team including orthopedic oncologists, general surgeons, musculoskeletal radiologists, adult and pediatric oncologists, and radiation oncologists.
In addition to training/experience in bone and soft tissue pathology, the ideal candidate will have a strong interest in at least one additional subspecialty area. Applicants must have an M.D. degree, be board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, qualified to obtain a medical license in North Carolina and South Carolina, and eligible to provide services for Medicare and Medicaid participants.
Compensation will be commensurate with specialty training and experience. Competitive salary and benefit package. MADISON, WISCONSIN (USA). The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is recruiting for an academic surgical pathologist. Candidates must be board certified in anatomic pathology or AP/CP, and be qualified for unrestricted licensure for the practice of medicine in Wisconsin. Subspecialty expertise/interest in neoplastic lung, ENT, pediatric, or bone/soft tissue surgical pathology is desired. The individual will be appointed as a member of the department at the Assistant/Associate Professor level (non-tenure track) and will have responsibilities in surgical pathology.

In addition to routine surgical pathology work, the individual is given the opportunity to work closely with multi-specialty UW Comprehensive Cancer Center groups on collaborative clinical and translational research projects. The pathology laboratory processes over 30,000 surgical specimens per year. The UW Medical Center is a tertiary care center with comprehensive programs in cancer and transplantation. Successful candidates are expected to contribute to the mission of the department via active participation in research and teaching programs, training of residents, fellows and medical students, mentoring of trainees, and participation in continuing medical education programs. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
